UPSC invites application on prescribed forms by 15/07/2010 (22/07/2010 for the candidates from far flung areas) for various posts in Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) :

1. Public Prosecutors : 15 posts, Pay Scale : Rs. 15600-39100  grade pay Rs.5400/-, Qualification : Degree in Law, seven year practice at Bar in conducting crminal cases., Age : 35 year
2. Senior Public Prosecutors : 17 posts, Pay Scale : Rs. 15600-39100 grade pay Rs.6600/-, Qualification : Degree in Law, 8 year practice at Bar in conducting crminal cases., Age : 40 year

Recruitment by  written test on 26/09/2010 followed by an Interview.

Fee payable is Rs.50/- in the shape of Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only.

UPSC Geologist Examination-2010

UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC)

GEOLOGISTS' EXAMINATION , 2010

The Union Public Service commission will hold the Geologists' Examination 2010 commencing from 4th December, 2010 for recruitment to Geologist (Junior), Group A and Assistant Geologist Grade-I, Group B in the Geological Survey of India and Jr. Hydrogeologists (Scientist B) Group A in the Central Ground Water Board. The examination will be held at various centres across the country.

Conditions of Elgibility

(A) Age Limits: Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on 1st January, 2010. Relaxation in the upper age limit as per Govt. of India rules.

(B) Educational Qualifications:

  A candidate must hold (i) Master's Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a recognised University or (ii) Master's Degree in Mineral Exploration or (iii) Master's Degree in Hydrology or (iv) Diploma of Associateship in Applied Geology of the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.

(C) Physical Standards: candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for Indian Geologist's Examination, 2009 as prescribed in the detailed advertisement.

Application form: The candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the commission for its examination, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/Post Ooffices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/-

Fee : Rs. 100/- through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of fees. OBC candidates are required to pay full fees.

Address and Last date for Receipt of Applications: All applicants must reach the "Secretary, Union Public Service commission, Dholpur house, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi - 110069" either by hand or by Post/Speed Post only or by Courier, on or before 19/07/2010.
